Summary:
Securityhunter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Electronic Security Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master Lenel certification and demonstrate significant expertise in Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) technologies.
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting electronic security systems across various federal agency facilities.
Rotating on-call and occasional weekend work is possible.
Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain electronic security systems including IDS and CCTV equipment in accordance with agency standards and guidelines.
* Conduct regular inspections, tests, and maintenance of security systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security systems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
* Provide technical support and guidance to agency staff on the operation and maintenance of security systems.
* Conduct training sessions for agency personnel on the use of security equipment and emergency procedures.
* Keep abreast of advancements in electronic security technology and recommend upgrades or enhancements to existing systems as necessary.
* Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, and service records.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
* Master Lenel certification is mandatory.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems, with a focus on IDS and CCTV technologies.
* Thorough understanding of federal regulations and guidelines pertaining to electronic security systems, including FISMA, NIST, and DHS standards.
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting security systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in high-stress situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
* Current Public Trust or ability to obtain one is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a federal agency or government contractor environment is preferred.
