SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are currently seeking experienced Equipment Operators to join our growing Highway & Bridge team.
The Equipment Operator will be responsible for running heavy equipment such as excavator, bulldozer, track loader, wheel loader, motor grader and a gradall.
We are looking for self-motivated individuals to perform tasks on bridge and other Heavy Civil projects in our region.
A successful candidate should possess 2 years of prior experience in running heavy equipment, a CCO Certification is a plus but not required, and have a willingness to learn.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Excavate, install and backfill of storm drain systems
Grade, excavate, and place subbase for roadway construction
Excavate and backfill bridge structures, including pre-cast structures
Operate safely around both underground and overhead utilities
Perform routine maintenance of equipment as required daily
Perform other related duties as required
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in operating heavy equipment
CCO Certification is a plus
Ability to operate equipment without dependence of automated GPS controls at all times
Willingness to learn GPS automation if required
Reading and understanding grading plans to efficiently perform work is preferred but not required
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work well with others, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn is required
Ability to comprehend and follow direction from supervisor
Willing to perform non-operating tasks if needed as required
Commitment to follow the company safety policy and work in a safe manor at all times
