is looking for Battery Test Engineer Technician to support battery development programs at our Sparks, Maryland location.

What you will be doing:
Build/Assemble test fixtures and wiring harnesses for battery cell testing.
Perform electrical evaluations of battery cells using high accuracy battery cycling equipment.
Use and calibrate environmental test chambers for performing cell battery testing.
Troubleshoot and correct problems encountered during testing.
Make use of various meters, power supplies, thermocouples, sensors, tweezer welders, soldering systems, balances, gauges, and lab scale tools for testing battery cells.
Maintain accurate records using database tools.
Maintain, organize, and manipulate data files using Microsoft® Office products in conjunction with customized macro tools.
Generate test reports.
What you bring to the table:
High school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training
2 – 5 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to read and comprehend work and safety instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Regularly communicate with Supervisor, receives feedback and direction from Lead and/or Supervisor, understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Apply principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics, as applicable
Ability to utilize manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOD, DVM, signal generators and specialized test apparatus
Demonstrated attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products
Excellent record keeping skills
Required: Active Government Security Clearance or US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance
Nice to have:
Associates degree in Engineering
Maccor battery tester or equivalent (Arbin, Bitrode, Digitron Firing Circuits, Chroma, or PEC) experience
Soldering certified
Experience with environmental chambers
