Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator role is to provide support for end-user hardware and software, along with monitoring and troubleshooting network cabling, devices, and applications.
The duties also include systems maintenance such as patching and regular updates.
The Systems Administrator tasks also will include project level research and support.
Responsibilities:
Administers end-user workstations and supports end-user activities on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN)
Investigates end user problems, performs diagnostics, and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions.
Installs, configures, and maintains company computers, Windows networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; adds or upgrades and configures disk drives, printers and related equipment.
Performs and/or oversees software and application installation and upgrades.
Adheres to network security, managing host security, file permissions, and file system integrity
Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
Provides computer orientation to new and existing company staff.
This is an exempt position.
Based on the needs of the company, you may be required to work in excess of 40 hours a week
Strong writing skills for producing and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications:
Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software
Knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Acrobat, Remove desktop services, Endpoint Security, TCP/IP, WIFI security, Samsung and Apple Mobile devices and Active Directory
Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems
Organizing resources, establishing priorities, and executing on service desk tickets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to learn new technologies and support cloud hosted systems
Preferred Education and Experience:
Degree in related field or 1-2 years of applicable work experience
CompTIA A+ or Microsoft MCSA Certification preferred
