Job Description
FIS Management Services, LLC seeks Software Engineer Senior in Owings Mills, MD to develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients.
Identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and client representatives.
Interact with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and software.
Communicate with clients on software applications.
Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs.
Interact with product managers and users to define system requirements or necessary modifications.
Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
Communicate with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
Develop or execute project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results.
Deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and external audiences.
Design, development and maintain of data assets and semantic layers in architecture.
Analyze data and Business Intelligence needs, recommend and implement solutions.
Perform analysis, modeling and transformations of information as it relates to business requirements for in-house builds.
Facilitate issues, monitor BI Architecture, and identify gaps, risks and areas of improvement.
Provide documented options and benefits and risks that can be used as input into project decisions related to the final BI Design.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: designing, developing, and enhancing application features; performing data analysis and data modeling; developing test cases and testing of modules; utilizing tools and technologies including MicroStrategy, QlikSense, Tableau, Erwin Data Modeler, SQL Server, DB2, and Oracle; utilizing Agile development methodologies; isolating and diagnosing technical issues to determine resolution; utilizing dashboard development skills to integrate BI dashboard in client facing portals; and performing predictive analytics.
