What you will be doing:
Work closely with multiple departments to clearly understand business requirements, identify risks, and manage critical paths.
Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations.
Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, lead times and other criteria.
Negotiate, obtain final quotes, and create detailed purchase requisition for goods, materials and services.
Understand supplier delivery schedules and work with Program Management on mitigation steps
Schedule manufacturing orders and release as components become available.
Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Purchasing to proactively support internal and external customer requirements.
Ensure planning and scheduling processes are followed in adherence with Teledyne’s AS9100 / ISO9001 certifications.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum five years of Planning / Scheduling experience in a Manufacturing environment and a High School Diploma.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products, especially Outlook and Excel.
Proficiency with ERP system, especially Item Masters, Bills of Materials, Inventory Management, Manufacturing Orders, Revision Control.
Proactive approach to identifying and resolving scheduling challenges.
Experience with Government contracts desired.
Attention to detail and data accuracy.
Excellent record keeping skills.
