The position is responsible for regional and global EDI process continuity.
This role requires both individual and team contributions of cross functional teams, located across multiple countries and multiple languages.
The Business Relationship Lead serves as the subject matter expert for EDI integration projects, including Strategic, Supply Chain and acquisitions, that deliver accurate electronic business documents and data exchanges for the business.
The incumbent must possess an in-depth understanding of multiple end-to-end business processes, including Sales, Procure to Pay, Sales to Cash, Customer Vendor Managed Inventory, Logistics, Distribution and 3PLs, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Global Data Synchronization, Pricing and Reporting.
Key Responsibilities: The Business Relationship Lead is responsible for all regional EDI projects and contributes to medium/large-size global projects, such as system upgrades, focusing on EDI (electronic data interchange) needs including alignment of MKC to GS1 Global Industry.
Makes EDI recommendations to various business functions, mapping recommendations to McCormick IT based on customer requirements and leads problem resolution for external customers/internal business partners at all levels of management.
Acts as resident Subject Matter Expert for our Seeburger EDI platform.
Primary contact to integrate business requirements into technical solutions by interviewing users, researching problems, facilitating meetings, coordinating requests, defining solutions, making recommendations and reporting progress.
Leads, configures and administers the Seeburger EDI platform to support internal and external business partner requirements Works collaboratively with Regional EDI teams on error resolution and to prioritize work to meet business partner timelines Drives change and process redesigns and leverages the current SAP/EDI toolset to gain maximum benefit.
Partners with regional and sometimes global business departments and local teams related to EDI to ensure standardization of processes.
Broad and deep expertise in EDI implementations in multiple countries Provides consultation, knowledge, expertise and training with regard to systems, master data, process, and functionality to global users.
Required Qualifications: BA/BS in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Engineering, Food Science or related field preferred.
5+ yrs progressive, broad based business experience in area(s) such as Master Data, Materials Management, Planning, Production, Warehousing, Order Management, Purchasing, Supply Planning, Quality, Accounting and EDI 3+ yrs project management, domestic and/or global, cross-functional projects.
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in high pressure, sensitive situations.
Ability to implement process improvements and work under aggressive deadlines.
ERP and Seeburger experience required.
In-depth knowledge of underlying application architecture of multiple process areas.
In depth knowledge and understanding of multiple business process capabilities and interdependencies within EDI and the ability to assess the impact of changes, including those outside of home country.
In depth understanding of how the team interacts with other McCormick functions in accomplishing the objectives of EDI and related processes.
In-depth knowledge of McCormick Sales & Order Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Suppliers, and Cash/Finance processes as well as the integration points of SAP, impact of configuration, table definitions and the interfaces to bolt-on software.
Demonstrated ability on cross-functional projects.
Working knowledge of McCormick Supply Chain, Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance processes.
Ability to influence outcomes.
Excellent customer service skills and change agent - Embraces and champions’ process redesign and change.
Must possess ability to respectfully challenge the business when they deviate from standard master data and EDI design within SAP and Seeburger.
Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment to solve complex technical problems.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
