is in search of a Director of Supply Chain and Procurement to establish and implement a vision of supply chain excellence by directing and coordinating activities of personnel engaged in purchasing, inventory control and shipping functions within our organization.
This fully onsite role reports to the Vice President at our Hunt Valley, Maryland location.

What you will be doing:
Directs production and inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines.
Maintains and ensures accuracy of the inventory system.
Directs purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure continuous operations while meeting inventory targets.
Identifies and address Supply Chain risks and opportunities, maintaining and fostering strong relationships with key suppliers.
Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
Manages and monitors storage of purchased parts, sub-assemblies and finished goods.
Pursues new ways to improve the efficiency of organization.
Manage all aspects of the Supply Chain function including supervision and coaching of department personnel.
Builds partnerships with suppliers aimed at improving vendor performance.
Participate in internal and vendor audits.
Establishes procedures for conducting and valuing annual physical inventory.
Establish and realize cost reduction, supply chain improvement and vendor performance goals.
Create, update, and maintain function policies and procedures in accordance with AS9000/ISO9000 requirements and corporate policies.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
8+ years related experience in supply chain management, purchasing, and inventory control.
Strong computer skills including MS Office, Costpoint or other ERP system.
Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated procurement and negotiation skills.
Strong logical and prioritizing skills required.
Proven track record of people management and development
US Citizenship required.
