Title: Production Planning Manager Department: Operations Reports To: General Manager Summary: Responsible for tracking production schedule adherence, administering the supply management system and applying operating procedures to support best standard practices related to the handling and distribution of materials.
Participates as a member of the HACCP team and provides input to continuously improve food safety initiatives that are directly related to factory service and warehouse storage practices.
Must utilize sound judgement and a heightened sense of urgency when executing any/all tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities 1.
Management of Inventory Management System 2.
Development of EOM (End of Month) reports 3.
Manage suppliers to ensure materials are available JIT to meet customer order requirements 4.
Interface with customers to ensure plan priorities accurately reflect customer needs 5.
Manage routine physical inventories and cycle count program 6.
Development of production schedules 7.
Manage slow moving and obsolete inventories 8.
Provide administrative oversight to the WMS (Warehouse Management System) 9.
Manage all master data in production planning files and inventory system 10.
Oversee all logistics coordination and scheduling 11.
Oversee product storage, handling, and distribution activities 12.
Control manufacturing and delivery processes 13.
Manage the procurement and/or direct purchase of materials needed to support operations Qualifications Job Knowledge 1.
