Job Description:
As a Mechanical Designer Support at BW Papersystems, your role would encompass providing vital support to the sales team through effective management of incoming calls and leveraging your proficiency in Mechanical Design.
Your key responsibilities would include the creation of design elements ranging from simple to moderately complex.
Additionally, you would play a pivotal role in the adaptation of designs to meet the specific requirements of both new and existing customers.
Your expertise would extend to guiding and facilitating client comprehension of intricate design details, ensuring seamless communication, and understanding in the design process.
Job Responsibilities:
Visualize and define designs for new machines, sections, systems/units, and related alterations.
Prepare complex layouts using CAD tools, evaluating designs for fit, function, feasibility, cost, and operation.
Collaborate with engineering, applying advanced mathematics and CAD technologies for accurate calculations.
Prepare bills of material, assembly drawings, pneumatic schematics, and other data, adhering to project milestones.
Provide cross-departmental support, addressing manufacturing or procurement issues and maintaining supplier interface.
Undertake field service trips, offering technical assistance during installation and operations, identifying improvement opportunities.
Develop standard work procedures for streamlined processes and increased efficiency.

Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED
4+ Years in Mechanical Design
Corrugating Experience preferable
2+ years of experience using CAD
