This new hire will work at the Technical Innovation Center, located in Hunt Valley, MD .
The Packaging Designer, Secondary Packaging (CAD - Scientist II) will report to a Laboratory Sciences Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the packaging development team with secondary packaging design/sample production/ mock-up creation, maintenance of AutoCAD/ArtiosCAD technical drawings and associated graphics die lines, and uploading of graphic die lines into the BLUE workflow system.
Assure all design and prototyping equipment is maintained and calibrated as required.
Schedule and prioritize work to ensure deadlines & deliverables are met.
Plan and conduct complex technical assignments.
Create new and enforce existing standards, controls, and processes.
Interact with all levels of management, work cross-functionally, participate in project planning activities, and provide technical guidance in adjacent areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree, or Technical Study in a relevant technical discipline.
Knowledge of CAD and secondary package design (corrugated, folding cartons, etc.
).
Knowledge of AutoCAD and ArtiosCAD functionality.
Fundamental knowledge of packaging materials as related to technical drawing creation.
Attention to detail, strong math skills, problem-solving skills, solid communication & interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 4 years of CAD and secondary package design experience (corrugated, folding cartons, etc.
).
Hands-on experience with Gerber cutting table or equivalent, Roland printers, Cimex design software, SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, and C.

Consumer Products background; Food industry experience; Manufacturing plant experience.
