Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials according to specifications
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
- Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to discuss project specifications and progress
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Proficient in various carpentry techniques and tools
- Strong knowledge of framing carpentry, plumb installation, blueprint reading, cabinet installation, maintenance person tasks, and trim carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Must have hand tools and reliable transportation.
