Retro Environmental, a well-established Selective Demolition and Environmental Remediation Company, is seeking to hire a Full-Time Bid Coordinator to join our team.
Position Overview: Based out of our Eldersburg, Maryland office, the Bid Coordinator is responsible for managing bids, ensuring that all processes are followed, and bids are submitted on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Review incoming bid invites and distribute to regional estimator.
Monitor CRM bid calendar to assure robust bid activity.
Submit prequalification-pre award submittals.
Search and monitor bid service sites for bid opportunities as current bid ops indicate.
Assign viable bid opportunities to appropriate regional estimator.
Review and understand project specifications, drawings, and requirements.
Assist in developing cost estimates, including labor, materials, and other related costs.
Prepare and maintain bid documentation and templates.
Assist with target marketing objectives.
Ensure bids are submitted before deadlines and are fully compliant.
Track submitted bids and maintain organized records of all documentation and correspondence.
Monitor and assist estimators with CRM input to ensure all opportunities are accurate and up to date in the CRM.
Assist estimators with weekly sales pipeline meeting preparation.
Coordinate post-bid reviews and feedback sessions to understand the reasons behind winning or losing bids.
Implement feedback into future bid strategies and processes.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and client needs to inform bid strategies.
Maintain knowledge of regulations related to abatement and demolition to ensure bid compliance.
Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline and enhance the bidding process.
Participate in training and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and any relevant bid software.
Ability to learn and use a variety of software, tools and systems necessary to meet business needs.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally to obtain information or solve problems in support of the estimator team.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (preferred but not essential).
Previous experience in bidding, construction, abatement, or demolition is a plus.
