Location: Columbia, MD, (Richmond, VA, or Pittsburgh, PA can be considered) Travel Requirements: Up to 40% SUMMARY Havtech Management Services is looking for an experienced commercial HVAC professional with a passion for teaching to join our Learning Institute team.
Their primary focus will center on the development, content management, and charismatic delivery of state-of-the-art technical HVAC curriculum.
Students include internal associates and our customers from engineering, contractors, and building owner partners.
The instructor should have extensive field experience that relates to the installation and service of commercial HVAC equipment, especially VRV and controls.
Our primary intent for technical training is to drive quality designs, installations, and maintenance of our solutions through associates and customers.
The instructor will work with the Learning Institute Manager and team to create meaningful end-to-end learner experiences.
They will provide their HVAC subject matter expertise, classroom observations, and more to help continuously improve our learning institute capabilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other functions may be assigned and/or required.
Instruction (in-person, virtual, and blended) Achieve and maintain instructor accreditation through manufacturers to deliver relative training, including such topics as: Products Topics VRV/F Controls RTUs Chillers Install Commissioning Service & troubleshooting Facilitate ILTs (instructor-led training) and VILTs (virtual instructor-led training) in installing, commissioning, operating, servicing, analyzing, and maintaining products and solutions.
Provide world-class learning experiences to HVAC service technicians, project managers, building owners, and more on technical topics in HVAC industry.
Up to 25% travel between Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania offices when necessary.
Provide customized, on-site customer training when requested.
May include product training where installed such as rooftops or boiler rooms.
Manage and enhance the classroom experience for learners.
This includes maintaining the classroom environment, demo units, and schedule.
Participate in the creation of videos, eLearning, and other learning assets to drive learning outcomes.
Content Management & Creation Maintain and manage latest content of training classes taught.
Provide input on product training and feedback on training delivery outcomes.
Collaborate with our partners’ training, marketing, and engineering departments.
Work with Havtech leaders and Learning Institute Manager to develop relative content for our associates and customers.
As an HVAC industry expert, provide insight and expertise to the design and development of learning solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS include the following.
10 years commercial HVAC experience focused on field service, engineers, or sales.
5 years instructor experience preferred.
Tech savvy to utilize Learning Management System, virtual online platforms, the standard Microsoft suite, etc.
