Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer 2 (FORNSAT/RF) to join our team in the Columbia and Hanover, MD area.
The ideal candidate for the System Engineer position will fit the following: End to End FSAT and RF Systems Engineering to achieve customer mission objectives as aligned to stated requirements.
The Systems Engineer ideally will incorporate their in-depth understanding of and demonstrated experience designing and integrating systems comprised of: FSAT processing components, dataflow applications, metadata and product repositories, virtualization and data center architectures.
Experience in antenna and RF system including command-and-control applications for large scale antenna systems Experience providing system engineering, integration, training and lifecycle support maintenance to resolve operational issues related to Digital Receiver Technology (DRT) SIGINT hardware/software solutions (receiver systems & architectures, software defined radios (SDR) and client applications) Minimum Requirements: Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a System Engineer or in a similar type of capacity.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
Systems engineering experience specifically in the areas of GOTS/COTS SIGINT application and/or capabilities, development, integration, testing, certification, deployment, and training.
Experience authoring system engineering artifacts Applicant must be a forward leaning self-starter requiring little daily oversight.
FORNSAT and tactical processing systems experience: installation/deployment, configuration, dataflow, training, operations and lifecycle support for GOTS/COTS applications and sub-systems Experience with training programs and offerings, experience with real-time streaming of data between processing sub-systems, interfacing with contractors/vendors to design and build against requirements.
Experience providing technical and programmatic oversight for system acquisitions from CONOP to full operating status Experience defining and documenting technical and programmatic requirements to upgrade and enhance existing systems to meet customer needs Experience providing engineering and programmatic oversight for life-cycle support of deployed systems Experience designing, integration COAs, implementing, and troubleshooting datacenter network switches and routers.
Demonstrated experience supporting Life Cycle Support (LCS) services for operational capabilities, deployment of technical capabilities as part of small teams and providing remote tiered technical support to mission operators, analysts and technical liaisons (OCONUS) Willingness and ability to travel OCONUS to support systems engineering, integration, and test activities Preferred Qualifications: RF experience, antenna to switch/RF Distribution and/or Demodulation a plus Possess the communication skills to perform engineering analysis to recommend improvements in existing communication systems Capability to provide direct support to end users for technical inquiries and enhancement initiatives Experience supporting and deploying GOTS SIGINT systems and application tool sets Experience integrating COTS solutions into end-to-end systems of systems derived from defined requirements documentation Security Clearance Requirements: Current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of time Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer Ability for clear communication with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.
