This position exists to support the development and production efforts of the Xcelion product line.
Candidates must have strong organization and communication skills.
The candidate should also be able to do hands-on work with products to support prototypes and testing.

The primary responsibilities for the Process and Equipment Technician is addressing processing issues, first responders to equipment faults, and providing technical expertise to pilot builds.
The intent is to be proficient in most areas in cell manufacturing.
The five distinctive characteristics of this technician position are the following:
1) Subject matter expert (SME) for critical processes in cell manufacturing.
2) Dry Room resource for TPM & 2nd level responder for escalations.
3) Assist in preparing documentation for RDWRs, drawings, SCOs and work orders.
4) Operate specialized equipment for the support of R&D, Pilot, and special production.
Essential Job Functions:
· Willingness to learn and retain knowledge of the basic work instructions for all unit operations by interacting with operators & engineers as needed to support troubleshooting activities for the following critical processes; mixing, coating, calendaring, slitting, winding, and/or filling.
· Perform general maintenance of existing equipment (mixers, coaters, calendars, slitters, winders, and electrolyte filling.
) through work orders and scheduled preventative maintenance according to business needs.
· Read and understand schematics/drawings, mechanical prints for all relevant equipment& parts.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, drop gauge, feeler gauge, Multimeter, Megohmmeter, HART communicator, Fluke Calibration 4-20mA/0-10V.
· Competently perform precise setup (microns) of coaters, knife boxes and winders.
· Ability to troubleshoot and install the following; Vacuum Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Servo Pumps (Hibar), AC/DC motors, and Electrical Components (Relays, Contactors, Fuses, I/O modules)
· Ability to troubleshoot and install basic electrical components and devices including but not limited to Sensors, Transducers, HMI Panels, Flow Meters.
Apply knowledge of electrical principles and demonstrate ability to troubleshoot using electrical schematics.
· Take a responsible role in the training of advanced measurement systems such as Beta gauge, vision systems, and X-ray.
Train and troubleshoot as required.
· Contribute to a continuous improvement culture within the World Class framework such as 8D’s, Production Management Routines, and other World Class tools.
· Support the local operations supervisor in providing technical support in the operator training to facilitate understanding of new or modified processes.
· Provide technical support in completing production work orders with the assigned departments (Safety, Quality, Planning, Program Management, Maintenance, R&D).
Qualifications:
THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.
· 2-3 years industrial maintenance experience with mechanical and/or electrical technical education or equivalent training/apprenticeship.
· 3-5 years of experience in chemical processes or electronics manufacturing.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable working with complex equipment.
· Ability to work in an ever-changing environment with multiple processes.
· Good verbal, written, computer and organizational skills.
· Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented.
· Experience with HMIs, LabView, PLCs a plus'
