General Description: Part of the accounting team, the Staff Accountant is responsible for the processing of month end and year end accounting adjustments.
The Staff Accountant will also support functions in accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, and payroll.
The Accountant Analyst is also responsible for providing data/reports ad hoc.
Generate information and reports expeditiously and accurately in order to meet the needs of the organizational management teams.
Working closely with manufacturing, participate in the development of accessible reporting tools linked to ERP, especially regarding the Project Accounting Systems.
Ensure the data provided is accurate and designed as useful and needed within parameters of levels of access rights.
Complete assigned tasks for month end and year end to complete periodic accounting reporting cycles.
This includes Material Cost Transfers, Adjusting Journal Entries and providing data reports as requested.
Complete additional ad-hoc tasking as requested.
Experience Needed: College Degree in Accounting or similar 3 years Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment and or public accounting experience 2-3 years of experience with government account preferred but not a deal breaker.
Project Accounting experience helpful Subject matter expert in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Navision a plus not must Knowledge of accounting software and databases, or the ability to quickly learn the system(s).
Basic understanding and mastery of Generally Accepted Accounting/Business practices MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GRENN CARD HOLDER Candidates must be US citizens or hold a green card.
