Job Summary
Our Electrical, Automation & Controls Division has an immediate need for a Senior Controls Engineer to manage projects and the account of a high profile industrial site in Arlington, VA.
This individual will manage projects related to all preventative maintenance and repairs on the PH & RP Distributed Controls System.
This includes but not limited to Allen Bradley PLCs, Hubs, Routers and Fiber Converters, associated network peripherals (from the PLC down), and field devices (approximately 10,000 data points).
What You'll Do:
Support of Field Equipment Control devices that are directly terminated to DCS controller or panel, which provide a control input to the PLC or receive a control output from the PLC.
Examples of such devices are relays, pressure to electrical switches, electrical to pressure switches, differential pressure switches, and pressure to current transducers, current to pressure transducers, pressure to resistance transducers, humidity sensors, and temperature sensors.
All Chillers and or Boilers sensors shall be checked and calibrated annually to ensure they are operating within the nominal range.
Replacement of defective DCS parts and components (e.
g.
, sensors).
Support improved system reliability as it becomes available for the system.
This shall include direct component replacements, wiring changes and software updates.
PLC System software support.
Any regularly released patches and version upgrades by the Allen Bradley, or other PLC manufacturer shall be provided as a part of this service contract.
Your Background Should Include:
Bachelors degree within engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical, etc.
) OR at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience within an industrial setting
Minimum five (5) years experience controls with Allen Bradley/ RS Logix
Experience with ICONICS HMI software package is preferred.
Prior experience managing small to mid-sized engineering projects.
Be able to pass a DOD background check
