*Job description – Assistant Electrical Project Manager*
FCR is looking for a technically astute commercial-electric assistant project manager to be trained under our Senior Project Manager.
Roles and responsibilities will include overseeing and directing assigned commercial electrical construction projects at various locations while working with field team and project leaders.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Baltimore industry and the surrounding counties as well as have electrical field experience.
Candidate must be willing to learn as well as teach.
*Responsibilities*
* Possess ability to plan and organize a project under the direction of a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager
* Monitor project activities in conjunction with the onsite Supervisor and Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budget
* Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of the Project Manager
* Assist with financial aspects of contracts (billing, rental equipment, income/expense)
* Maintain a good relationship with the client/owners.
* Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems
* Continually identify and proactively manage project
* Assist in the management of project submittals, change orders, billings, collections, and other project related documentation
* Drawing take-off/estimating
* Project closeout activities
* Forecasting requirements, manage budgets, track expenses
* Create and maintain detailed project schedules
* Oversee electrical installation of equipment
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, *and/or* 4+ years in commercial electrical construction field
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
* Familiarity with project management software
* Strong interpersonal and time management skills
* Experience in electrical takeoff/estimating a plus
* Eagerness to work hard
Salary is contingent on experience level within the industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.
00 - $45.
00 per hour
