*Job Title: *Electrical Drafter
*Reports to: *EuroSort Engineering Manager
*Location:* Owings Mills MD
*Summary of Job Responsibilities:*
The ideal candidate for this position is technically competent, organized and enjoys the challenge that comes with coordinating complex problem solving in an efficient manner.
The Electrical Drafter is responsible for developing and maintaining electrical documentation to control the full EuroSort product line of automated machinery.
Responsibilities include working with multiple departments and team members to meet technical and schedule objectives.
The Electrical Drafter may work with the sales department in the pre-sale stage to help create best solutions for a customer’s unique need.
*A successful Electrical Drafter will:*
* Work independently, as well as with others to design and implement custom electrical designs
* Provide timely technical responses, concepts, and solutions to Sales
* Ensure specifications are clear and achievable at the start of a project and that they are recognized during the performance of the project
* Take ownership of technical aspects of projects
* Create comprehensive technical wiring and power layout diagrams
* Generate technical specification documents, installation guides, and user manuals
* Interface with customer’s technical counterpart to ensure expectations are aligned
* Communicate and validate project requirements and deliveries with suppliers including recommendations
* Initiate cost and efficiency improvements on project designs where possible
* Update documentation for field changes and make sure documentation is adequate to handover project to customer and service department
* Assist with production, installation, and service through technical advisory support
* Answer support phone line during and after standard work hours
* Respond to on-site customer service calls (during day and off business hours)
*Qualifications:*
* High school degree or equivalent with 5+ years of automated machinery drafting experience required
* A demonstrated knowledge of best practices for:
* Electrical symbols and electrical drafting conventions and standards
* Electrical development for basic mechanical mechanism control
* Safety both in documentation and hardware
* Electrical experience across multiple system platforms preferred
* Knowledge of AutoCAD with 2+ year of experience required
* Knowledge of Solidworks preferred (not required)
* Basic knowledge of electrical design and documentation required
* Basic knowledge of electrical and safety standards required
* Team player – able to work with all departments among EuroSort, suppliers, and with customers
* Must be willing to travel up to 15%

The Electrical Drafter has a lot of autonomy to get the job done on schedule and must work independently and with others to successfully ensure all technical goals of a project are met in conjunction with schedule and cost thresholds.

Pay: $25.
00 - $35.
00 per hour
