ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.

Assist in development of metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity and drive team towards attainment of metrics.
Ensures that Production & Packaging operations fully comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Lean Practices.
Implements strategies to attain production schedules set in alignment with company and sales requirements.
Partners with the broader management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
Participates in Lean Daily Management processes and leads root cause analysis with teams to improve processes.
Ensures the completion of batch records per Curio standards.
Assists with departmental budgets and recommends capital requirements needed for current and future state production.
Facilitates monthly inventory reviews and any adjustments needed for State Regulatory requirements as well as ERP (Acumatica) adjustments.
Evaluates employee training to ensure all employees are trained in GMP, Personal Hygiene, and Manufacturing Standard Work.
Evaluates performance and skills of personnel providing feedback and training where needed, following Curio best practices.
Creates and maintains standard work to improve quality and productivity.
Coach, trains, and develops employees using company policies and protocols.
Maintains a culture of professionalism and service.
Ensures daily compliance with policies including, but not limited to, state compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.
Complies with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Creating, managing, and supporting recognition and communication programs

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar major or four (4) years
of equivalent job-related experience.
Other Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operation and/or related industry
Demonstrated ability to establish and manage operations to established targets
Ability to schedule and plan workloads, implement systems and drive projects that align with strategic objectives of the company
Experience working with formulations and batch/recipe production order development
Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment (ISO, OSHA and FDA)
Familiarity with laboratory analysis reports, stability reports, Certificate of Analysis, Raw Material release and technical reports
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems

The Operations manager is a people leader and a developer of talent who oversees Production and Packaging of medicinal products in our state-of-the-art cannabis manufacturing facility.
A major focus of this position is to drive operational efficiency and meet demanding production schedules to produce products on time and within budget in a highly dynamic and rapidly growing environment.
The position reports to the Director of Manufacturing.
This individual should understand Manufacturing Excellence and Continuous Improvement methodology.
