Turf Valley Resort is looking for a full-time or part-time Maintenance Mechanic.
This individual will perform various repairs, preventative maintenance and other duties.
This individual must have Sunday availability.
I.
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks throughout the hotel, including but not limited to: Repairing Installing Removing Building Testing and Preventing Your job will involve specialized areas such as: HVAC/Refrigeration Electrical work Carpentry Plumbing General repairs II.
Safety: Prioritize safety above all else, ensuring the well-being of our guests, fellow employees, and yourself.
Strictly adhere to all lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Utilize safety guards on all power-operated equipment and employ safety glasses when deemed necessary.

Tools and Keys: You are responsible for providing your own hand tools and ensuring their security, maintenance, and repair.
Follow established safety procedures when using power tools, emphasizing the importance of safe practices.
IV.
Maintenance Ticket System: Address repair requests through our online ticket system, promptly responding to and documenting each assigned ticket.
Maintain effective communication regarding repair progress through the system or directly with management.
V.
Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to the overall cleanliness and safety of the hotel.
Exercise care when moving personal items or hotel property out of your work area to prevent any damage or disruption.
VI.
Customer Service Skills: Interact professionally and effectively with both guests and fellow employees, ensuring a positive guest experience and team collaboration.
VII.
Be prepared to undertake other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Mechanical/Construction experience desired Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical repairs, Plumbing, HVAC, Auto mechanic, AND/OR electrical experience HVAC experience is a plus, but not required Must have your own hand tools Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must be able to perform physical activities including: walking, bending, lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, operating motorized vehicles, etc Must be able to stand and/or walk 6 to 8 hours per day Must be able to pass background check Weekend availability Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent desired Basic computer skills Trade school is a plus Employee Perks: Howard Community College Scholarship Program Discounted Hotel Rates Employee Meal Discount Discounted Spa Services & Retail Free Golf BOGO Deals in our Restaurant
