The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for all aspects of supply chain management and operations, including procurement, vendor relations, warehouse, logistics, production planning and Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP).
This individual will develop and implement processes for demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management and replenishment to ensure resource requirements are satisfied and inventories are optimized.
This individual will also provide leadership and participate in departmental and organizational policy development and apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of technology and business processes within the Supply Chain Department.
A thorough understanding of the preparation of bills of materials (BOMs) purchasing strategies and the management of materials throughout their entire life cycle is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall strategy and execution of supply chain management function as well as the planning and directing of activities and operations of the business
Own and facilitate the SIOP process.
Ensure compliance with cGMP and Regulatory requirements for packaging and materials
Ensure all necessary data and systems are up-to-date, specifically the MRP module within the company’s ERP system (Acumatica)
Utilize data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends to forecast inventory and distribution requirements.
Assist in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches.
Manage supplier relationships and development of strategic partnerships to ensure efficiencies in cost, vendor terms, and turnaround time
Develop a system to measure supplier performance.
Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
Manage Inventory levels to minimize production risk while maximizing inventory turns.
Identify and drive adoption of Key Performance Indicators as they apply to Supply Chain success, as well as providing input to KPIs as they apply to Manufacturing success.
Mentor and supervise daily operations of the Supply Chain, Warehouse & Procurement Teams and ensure proper and timely execution of all the corresponding tasks.
Build relationships within the company and with external parties, such as suppliers or distributors.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) or four (4) years of equivalent job-related experience.
Other Qualifications:
10+ years of experience leading the supply chain management function
Senior level experience with inventory forecasting and planning
Strong negotiating & networking skills to negotiate favorable terms in supplier contracts and build strong supplier relationships
Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
