*Overview:*
FreshCut Crafts makes pre-cut paper crafts and classroom materials for elementary education, and we have full-time and part-time positions open at our facility in Sparks, MD.
We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and conscientious Machine Operator to join our team.
As a Machine Operator, you will be cross-trained and responsible for operating die cutting, collating and shrink-wrapping equipment.
*Responsibilities:*
- Operate and monitor machinery to produce high-quality products
- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper calibration
- Cross train on die cutting, collating, and shrink-wrapping machines
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
- Assorted shop maintenance upkeep tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
*Skills:*
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with printed materials and paper goods
- Ability to use calipers and other measuring tools for precision work
- Experience with paper die cutting machinery is a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and techniques
*Physical Requirements:*
This job involves standing, and lifting of paper cases and shippable product boxes.
Applicant must be able to comfortably stand while they work, and lift 60 lbs.
