Tree Trimming Inspector - Department of Public Works / Bureau of Roads Operations

The Bureau of Roads Operations is currently seeking an individual to coordinate and inspect tree trimming work performed by contractors.
As a Tree Trimming Inspector, you will assure tree and bush trimming is done in compliance with all applicable laws.
You will communicate with property owners and obtain permission to perform roadside tree and bush trimming/removal operations.
You will be required to respond to emergency situations, such as downed trees or snow removal.
Qualifications: 1.
High School diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) preferred 2.
Five years experience with tree and brush trimming operations\* 3.
Supervisory experience preferred\* 4.
Possess Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement 5.
Requires a valid DOT (Department of Transportation) Physical Card 6.
Maryland Certified Roadside Tree Care Expert License 7.
State of Maryland Flagging Certification (must obtain within 6 months of employment) 8.
Traffic Control Manager Certificate (must obtain within 6 months of employment) \*A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $24.
