Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical designers collaborate with other engineers and manufacturing personnel to create technical designs and drawings.
Job Description Design component and assembly concepts Create 2D drawings based on 3D models and assemblies Design and small tools and fixtures for test and manufacturing Provide manufacturing support during production and continuous improvement projects Perform tolerance analysis to ensure assembly and inspection requirements are met Solve engineering problems related to design, manufacturing and test results Hold design reviews with a cross functional team Experience/Technical Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or five years of equivalent experience using modelling, drawing, dimensioning and tolerancing skills and techniques Experience in a design engineering environment with product design, development, and manufacturing support responsibilities Proficient with SolidWorks or similar parametric CAD software Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be team oriented, self-motivated, able to multi-task Experience with ASME Y14.
5 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and a working knowledge of mechanical and CNC machining preferred
