We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our product development needs and serve our expanding customer base.
*Summary of Position:*
The successful candidate will be responsible for the research, mechanical design, and development of various products for the industrial, medical, energy, security, military, and consumer industries.
*Primary Responsibilities:*
· Develop mechanical designs based on requirements provided by the customer.
· Complete component designs independently and subsystem designs with oversight.
· Confirm design performance and optimization through testing.
· Develop and test prototypes or support prototyping effort.
· Prepare documentation and transition to production.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or comparable discipline.
* Good personal organization skills.
* Some experience in a new product development or manufacturing environment would be ideal.
* Understanding of mechanical engineering and materials principles.
* Experience with Creo (preferred), Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.
* Experience with 3D printing a plus.
* Must be motivated and willing to learn new technologies, work efficiently in a team environment.
The position is based in our Forest Hill, MD design headquarters.
On-site presence is required; occasional remote-work arrangements are considered when feasible.
