Overview:
Trellis Services is hiring one-on-one instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 10 to 21) with autism in their homes and in the community on non academic life skill goals.
This part-time position (8 to 30 hours per week-afternoons, evenings and weekends) is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Flexible hours and great pay! Great entry level position and resume builder for someone looking to start their career in Special Education!
Pay range is $18-$21/hour!!
Responsibilities:
As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure
Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts
Opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties
Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis

Position Requirements:
Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old
Eligibility to work in the United States.
The ability to pass a State/Federal Background Check
Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License and Current Auto Insurance
Minimum of 100 hours of working/volunteer or personal experience with individuals with developmental delays
Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments.
You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs.
It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
