We are hiring Teacher Aides who want to become a Behavior Technician (BT)!!
Behavior Technician (BT)s work in our Early Intervention Center M-F 12:30pm-7:00pm.
BTs work one-on-one (or in small groups) with children diagnosed with autism.
Hourly rate depends on certification, experience in the ABA field as BT/RBT, education, BCBA student program, etc.
BCBA student hourly rate is $25 +
What will your day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)?
Behavior Technician (BT)s teach individuals with autism to talk, play, make friends, and function independently, while helping reduce any inappropriate behaviors.
Collect data to demonstrate each client’s progress toward reaching his or her goals!
Document by using our electronic data collection software for real time analysis
Collaborate in clinical team meetings to report client progress and get specific feedback from the supervisor
Rest Assured you’ll be trained in various ABA methods by our top-notch clinicians.
What will you do as a Behavior Technician (BT)?
Behavior Technician (BT)s provide intensive one-on-one therapy to children with ASD
Implement behavior acquisition and behavior reduction plans
Conduct stimulus preference assessments
Collect data
Maintain client's program book
Provide basic care to the clients (e.
g.
, toileting, eating)
Discuss client's daily progress with parents/caretakers
Work with BCBA to implement individualized goals and checklists
Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients
Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education
Requirements for Behavior Technician (BT)
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School diploma or equivalent
Background check clearance upon hire
Previous experience working with children; ASD experience strongly preferred
Reliability- ability to work a consistent schedule throughout the week
Access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation
To complete the physical demands of the job (frequent sitting and standing, sitting on and getting up from the floor, kneeling, bending, and running with children) you must be able to: Stand and move for at least 75% of the day; lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds
