We are searching for talented and dependable music teachers to join the Bethany Music Center.
Responsibilities include instructing students one-on-one virtually and in-person in ways that will help them achieve their goals, as well as handling admin duties.
You will prepare students for recitals, auditions, competitions, etc.
As a teacher at the Bethany Music Center, you should demonstrate excellent instructional skills and patience as well as knowledge of music pedagogy methods and best practices.
Outstanding candidates are lifelong learners who are always improving their skills and are unafraid to experiment with technology.
*Position:*
We are hiring for a private lesson cello teacher.
*Responsibilities:*
* Determining student goals and objectives, and discussing lesson details with them before committing to a plan.
* Structuring individual lessons based on client preferences and goals.
* Providing students with appropriate materials and resources.
* Showing up on time for scheduled practice sessions, recitals, and other events.
* Teach in a range of different styles and genres-- ability to read sheet music, lead sheets, and chord charts will be required
* Teaching music theory, and helping students sharpen their musicianship skills
* Incorporating technology into lessons when appropriate, particularly for virtual lessons.
* Preparing students for recitals, concerts, auditions, and other events.
* Motivating students, especially when they are struggling and progress is slow.
* Providing constructive feedback and adjusting lessons as required.
*Requirements:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Music preferred (degree in-progress in acceptable)
* Strong musical ability, as well as proven instrumental skills and knowledge.
* Previous experience as a music teacher would be advantageous.
* Fluent sight-reading.
* Patience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong motivational skills.
* Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses.
* Ability to teach virtually and in-person
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.
