Gerstell Academy is seeking a creative and dynamic Middle School Spanish teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
The desired candidate will be able to teach Spanish as an academic course and as a vehicle to teach leadership education and character development.
This position may include teaching students in grades 5-8.
Duties include teaching Spanish courses, along with the Mission, Motto, Principles and Attributes, serving on faculty committees, creating curriculum maps, serving as an advisor to student clubs, and performing other duties as assigned to develop the Middle School program and the Spanish Department.
Prior teaching experience with the ability to teach courses through Spanish II (ACTFL Intermediate Low) is strongly preferred.
Gerstell Academy has established a Spanish program that begins in the Lower School with the goal of having each student proficient at the intermediate-mid level or higher by grade twelve.
The desired candidate will be able to teach Spanish as an academic course, and as a vehicle for leadership education, critical thinking skills, and character development.
