5 Work Schedule M-F 8:30-5 Grade F2 Minimum Compensation $73,320 General Responsibilities Howard Community College (HCC) seeks dynamic and highly qualified individual to join the faculty of the Business and Computer Systems division to teach in the fields of Cybersecurity, Computer Science, and Cloud Operations and Security.
HCC offers quality transfer degree programs in Cyber Technology with robust technical programs and is known for its outreach to the community as an active partner with strong presence in workforce development.
The college also works in partnership with local high schools offering programs for students who need preparatory work in Cybersecurity to be successful in college-level coursework.
Daytime, evening and weekend courses are taught at HCC.
HCC has been recognized as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-2Y) by the National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the work of the College to maintain and deliver the courses maintaining CAE national training standards.
Work Performed Each faculty member is expected to teach 14 – 16 units per semester.
Over the course of two consecutive years, a faculty member is expected to average 30 units per year.
Work Performed Teaching Cybersecurity and Cloud Operations and Security, including hands on work in the Cyber Labs Development and delivery of course materials on the College Learning Management System (LMS) Participation in departmental and college committees Working with HCC’s partners or institutions in the Cyber Technology area Serving as an academic advisor and mentor Discipline coordination including hiring and support of adjunct faculty in their teaching and development, management of course scheduling and curriculum.

Employees that possess a bachelor’s degree and hold professional positions that require a bachelor’s degree may choose to participate in either The Pension or The ORP.
