JOB SUMMARY Supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by executing core responsibilities, including supporting/validating shrink/safety programs, encouraging a culture of honesty, and supporting operational excellence through active engagement with customers and Associates.
Deters acts of dishonesty within the established customer engagement guidelines.
Supports a positive customer shopping experience in the store and maintains a strong store partnership with store teams and loss prevention.
Exercises sound judgment in decision-making to ensure their safety, the safety of others, and the protection of the Company brand.
Adheres to Company policies and maintains and supports Company culture and values.
Duties and Responsibilities • Provides an effective deterrent to theft by maintaining a professional and visible presence (e.
g.
, front end of the store, salesfloor, high shrink departments).
• Engages customers and provides a positive shopping experience, (e.
g.
, answers customer questions, acknowledges customers, provides support as needed, safety hazards).
• Effectively communicates shrink-related concerns to management and DLPM/S with solutions for improvement.
• Drives and promotes a culture of honesty by supporting and validating Associate use of Company Shrink Reduction Programs/resources (e.
g.
, TipLine/Hotline, Merchandise Protection standards.
Associate Awareness Training, damage programs, safety programs).
• Maintains an effective partnership with store management and Associates through active engagement in shrink reduction, shrink messaging, damage prevention, and Associate safety.
• Participates in internal investigations and surveillances as assigned (e.
g.
, recognizes suspicious activity, conducts fact findings, documents and communicates findings).
• Completes all administrative duties in a timely and effective manner (e.
g.
, case management, investigative reports, audits).
• Encourages safety awareness, helps maintain a risk-free environment, and communicates workplace safety issues to management in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
