FLEET COORDINATOR - This position is Full Time, Hourly, working out of our busy Baltimore branch location 21230.
It is a Monday - Friday on-site / in-office role.
The responsibilities will cover our Baltimore Plumbing & HVAC fleet, as well as our growing Beltsville MD and Alexandria VA branches as well.
This Fleet Coordinator coordinates the project, operational and administrative functions primarily associated with the Len the Plumber fleet operations.
The role supports field service personnel, operations, finance and accounting by consistently executing defined guidelines and policies to ensure the LTP fleet is optimized and available.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain Telematics GPS tool on a real-time basis to include addition and maintenance of new and existing drivers/vehicles/groups within the database.
Coordinate and execute the Enterprise Fleet Management maintenance program for 250+ vehicles in the MD, DC and VA area.
Build and strengthen the relationship between Len the Plumber and their supplier network.
Work with Finance to track, maintain/update and deploy fleet and capital asset insurance, emissions and registration documentation.
Execute new vehicle deployment including quality control of delivered vehicles.
Maintain and manage the fuel card program.
Provide support to employees with disabled vehicles.
Perform rapid turn-around of maintenance/detailing of vehicles from turn-in to re-issuance.
Facilitate the transfer of trucks between techs in all fleet related systems.
Perform safety inspections to ensure vehicles are in top working order.
Identifies and pursues cost saving opportunities associated with vehicle use.
QUALIFICATIONS / ABILITIES:
Strong fundamentals of vehicle mechanical knowledge.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify and implement creative solutions
Ability to collaborate with other departments to achieve a common goal.
Strong communication skills and ability to partner internally and externally to accomplish objectives
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
Ability to lift and transport >50lbs
Travel to each branch location on as needed basis.
Travel to vendors on regular basis
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
High School degree
3-5 years relevant experience with documented / exceptional results.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
Strong EXCEL skills a must
