*Full Job Description - Substance Use Counselor (CAC or ADT Trainee)*

*Salary:* $48,000 - $58,000 per year (full-time, DOE)

*Setting:*We're offering an exciting opportunity for a Substance Use Counselor who is passionate about community involvement and teamwork.
Join a skilled multidisciplinary team providing in-home treatment as part of Maryland's ACT program.
The daily caseload typically involves 3-5 clients, leaving ample time for charting, team meetings, and some group counseling.
*Daily Life:*Your day starts with a team meeting followed by home visits with clients.
You'll typically work with 3-5 clients daily, allowing time for administrative tasks, charting, and some group counseling sessions.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
Clients are adults with a range of substance use disorders, all registered in the ACT program.
There are no on-call duties, no evening shifts, and no weekend work.

*Requirements:*
* Minimum education level is an Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
* At least one year of work experience providing substance and/or clinical services
* State of Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists certification as an ADT Trainee or CSC-AD, CAC-AD
* Experience in conducting needs and risk assessments, with an understanding of crisis management, and previous experience with group counseling and facilitation.
* Preferred experience with the Community Health, Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder Population, and Adult populations.
* Possession of a current driver's license with a clean driving record
*Responsibilities:*
* Manage your client caseload, including initial and follow-up notes
* Complete documentation and charting following established policies and procedures
* Collaborate with other professionals on the client's treatment team to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans
* Maintain detailed patient progress records
* Adhere to organizational standards and policies, code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, and maintain professionalism at all times.
