Introduction GRADE 11 LOCATION OF POSITION Maryland Board of Nursing 4140 Patterson Avenue Baltimore, MD 21215 Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Division Director and Coordinator for the Exam and Education department at the Maryland Board of Nursing.
This position provides overall administrative assistance and support to the operational details of the coordinator.
This position is responsible for the administrative and clerical functions associated with evaluating, certifying, reviewing and monitoring of the licensing process for initial RN and LPN applicants and foreign graduates, regulated by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: One year of experience performing administrative staff, clerical, clerical technical, or secretarial work.

Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.

Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The desired candidate should possess: - Experience working with the public and excellent customer service - Experience with Google and Microsoft Office Suites - Experience delivering exceptional email and telephone etiquette SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Candidates may be responsible for providing their own transportation as needed to access meetings, remote locations, and job destinations as assigned.
