As the *Engineering Department Administrative Manager*, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our department.
Working closely with the Director, you will oversee various administrative tasks, facilities management, and staff coordination.
Turf Valley Resort is looking for an *Engineering Department Administrative Manager *to work Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 am - 5 pm.
No weekends required.
Facilities Management:
* Review and assign work orders through our system based on departmental needs and priorities.
* Manage paperwork for compliance with building inspections, including fire alarms, elevators, swimming pools, kitchens, etc.
* Assist with purchasing duties and process all department purchase orders.
* Oversee ongoing maintenance and emergency repairs necessary to maintain the hotel and restaurant/banquet areas.
* Assume full departmental responsibility in the Director's absence.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility:
* Assist the Director in managing staff effectively.
* Collaborate on performance reviews with the Director.
* Coordinate and prepare the weekly schedule for staff.
* Handle payroll tasks, including reviewing and approving timesheets.
Education and Work Experience:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* College Degree preferred, but not required.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to interact with employees at all levels in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Work Environment:
* This role primarily involves sitting for extended periods, with occasional manual dexterity required.
* Ability to walk the property as needed.
