~The Park School Mission The Park School is a non-sectarian, independent, coeducational day school of 820 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.

*The Position: Accounting Associate, 12 months, non-exempt * The Accounting Associate performs the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general administrative functions and reports to The Payroll and Business Office Manager.
In addition, the position provides administrative support for the school’s auxiliary rentals, under supervision of the Director of Accounting.
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position.
*Responsibilities/Expectations:* *Accounts Receivable (30%)* Performs monthly billing function for tuition and incidentals.
Serves as the point of contact for billing inquiries, researches and resolves billing issues, manages enrollment and reenrollment setup and billing, prepares monthly reconciliations and collections reporting, and assists with annual tuition budget process and tuition related year end schedules for the audit.
*Accounts Payable (30%) * Processes invoices for payment, performs weekly check run, serves as the point of contact for payables inquiries, researches and resolves payables issues, facilitates payroll reimbursement for employee reimbursements.
Manages the employee corporate cards, reviews transactions online, reconciles the card statement on a weekly basis, and posts entry to the system.
Sets up new cards and accounts, serves as point of contact for limit adjustments, password issues, coding assistance and other cardholder issues.
*Auxiliary Rentals (30%, fluctuates with peak months) * Assists in the promotion of the rental of the school’s facilities, serves as the point of contact for all rental inquiries and renter coordination and communication, coordinates rental approval with various departments, schedules events in reservation software, prepares contract, and is responsible for contract administration including tracking and processing contract payment and adherence to contract terms.
*Overall Administrative Support (10%)* Supports departmental administrative needs, processes online bank deposits, records journal entries, goes to bank to deposit cash deposits, monitors and acquires change for cafeteria, sorts department mail, adjusts student cafeteria limits and responds to related questions, and monitors and orders department office supplies.

*Work Hours and Days: * 40 hours per week, non-exempt position *Qualifications:* *Education and Experience* * Bachelor’s degree and 2 years or more relevant experience.
*Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* * Proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel) * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Great attention to detail * Must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to exercise discretion and perform work independently while meeting deadlines * Must have ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and professionalism * Intermediate analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work *Physical Demands:* ● Required to remain stationary for long periods of time.
● Infrequent light physical effort required.
