The Office of the Comptroller is seeking an analytical and detail oriented professional to work directly with the Financial System Administrator performing accounting functions, implementation, training and technical oversight of financial systems.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform accounting functions and provide database management, user training, and technical oversight related to the operation and procedures of the financial system and other information systems within the department.
ESSENTIAL TASKS include the following: other duties may be assigned.
1.
Troubleshoot concerns for system users, escalate as needed
2.
Monitor reports and reconciliations; post entries in the general ledger and assist in maintaining the chart of accounts in the financial system
3.
Research and compile information and construct complete and accurate reports, spreadsheets, surveys, and other complex documents
4.
Create and update training materials for system users
5.
Provide basic financial system training and instruct personnel on the technical aspects of basic data retrieval
6.
Monitor progress of contracts with vendors, account for changes/additions, and process payments
7.
Support system implementation by performing tests and collecting data
8.
Perform accounting and recordkeeping functions
9.
Distribute monthly financial reports to departments and agencies
10.
Provide support and requested information to external auditors
11.
Perform related duties as to specific assignments
12.
Any employee may be identified as Essential Personnel during emergency situations
13.
Provide service to customers by answering questions, providing information, making referrals, and assuring appropriate follow-through and/or resolution
14.
Communicate with managers, supervisors, co-workers, citizens, and others, maintains confidentiality; and represents the County

Pay: $26.
70 per hour
