The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department.
This position assists the MD/NP/PA in perfoming procedures and exams, rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing administrative duties.
Administrative duties consist of medication prior authorization, result management, placing orders, and maintaing communication between the provider and patient.
The MA also provides general Medical Assistant assistance to Internal Medicine physicians in an outpatient setting within the hospital.
The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served.
In addition, the staff member demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
A minimum of one year experience, preferrably in a medical office setting.

Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
