General Summary:
Under general direction, is responsible, individually and through indirect subordinate supervision, for the management and coordination of multiple financial, accounting, and coordinative Finance Office functions related to federal, state, and private foundation grants entitled to Sheppard Pratt Foundation and related corporations.
Maintains knowledge of and provides effective liaison with internal grant recipient contacts and primary investigators to ensure compliance with Federal and other grant regulations.
Provides key support with month-end close, annual financial and grant related audits, and other duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Work requires professional level of knowledge of accounting, financial principles and theory, and effective verbal and written communication skills acquired through a bachelor’s degree.
Bachelors in accounting or business administration preferred.
Work requires three to five years’ progressively more responsible experience in grant administration in the non-profit sector, grant financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and computerized accounting systems.
Experience with federal grant submission and management processes is preferred.
