Perdue Foods is looking for an experienced Sr.
Financial Analyst to join our team in Salisbury, MD.
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis to support informed decision-making across the organization, while supporting the Pet and Pasture Raised business units, and overall Foods business reporting for the Executive team.
These supportive tasks can include preparing forecast/budget entries, conducting analytics from disparate sources, producing multiple financial or performance reports, variance analysis, and ad hoc research requests.
The FP&A Senior Analyst will collaborate with various departments, providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and achieve business objectives.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Planning:
Participate in the development and execution of the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to gather inputs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Support the long-range planning process, incorporating market trends, industry benchmarks, and company objectives to create realistic and achievable financial targets.
Forecasting and Analysis:
Develop accurate and timely financial forecasts, identifying key drivers and potential risks.
Conduct variance analysis between actual results and forecasts, providing explanations for key variances and actionable recommendations to enhance financial performance.
Reporting and Metrics:
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track relevant financial and operational metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Strategic Support:
Partner with business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide insightful analysis to drive strategic decision-making.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the FP&A function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Streamline data collection and reporting processes to facilitate quicker and more informed decision-making.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in an analytical field) with 5+ years of experience within a financial planning and analysis group.

Ability to identify patterns from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive analyses.

Experience Preferred
Customer service mindset and ability to work with internal “clients” around the company.
Ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities with a focus on delivering results.
Strong Microsoft Office skills as well as the ability to learn software applications (i.
e.
, SAP and Hyperion Essbase).
Experience with PowerBI a plus.
