Position Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting in the reporting of the financial health of the organization.
They produce financial reports, document processes, and procedures, ensure compliance, and work to complete a clean year-end audit.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Conducts timely and accurate financial closing and reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual basis).
Provide financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making support for all department heads and key business activities including answering financial questions regarding revenue, expenses, budget, productivity, staffing, new lines of business, etc.
Assist in the preparation of preliminary and year-end audit reconciliations and schedules.
Assist and provide support for fixed assets and lease tracking and support.
Perform targeted financial controls and compliance, internal audits, and related training throughout the organization and drive issue resolution at locations/areas of concern.
Assist with and review the monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliations.
Provide support and assistance with sales and use tax as well as various other tax filings including franchise and excise taxes.
Provide accounting and financial support for UUG-affiliated companies.
Ensure United Urology Group compliance with and consistent application of all relevant accounting and regulatory rules, regulations, and Company policies.
Ensure all accounting records, policies and practices are compliant with federal, state, and local government laws and regulations as well as various regulatory agencies and United Urology Group policy.

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.
Masters Degree is a plus.
Four to Seven (4-7) years of progressive accounting experience is required.
Experience in financial management of a multi-site healthcare delivery system or hospital setting is a plus.
Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus but not required.
CPA or serious CPA candidate preferred.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills: Exceptional business and financial acumen.
Superior problem-solving, mathematical, analytical, team-building, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent customer service skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer software and database skills.
Expert in Excel functions and formulas.
Ability to multi-task, effectively problem-solve and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and bring forth ideas to enhance positive patient care.

Travel: This position is a hybrid position, with a requirement to be at UUG Corporate offices 2-3 days a month.
Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
Physical Requirements for the Job: Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
Intermittently required to stoop, bend, speak, and listen.
