The Assistant Leasing Manager will assist the Leasing Manager with supervising leasing representatives and office activities while also interacting with and assisting residents.
Responsibilities and Duties: (included but not limited to)
Oversees the daily workflow of the leasing office and the leasing representatives.
Assists the Leasing Manager in preparation of new hire and annual performance reviews of leasing staff.
Interacts with residents to assist with rental payments, service requests, and any other related items.
Complies with company policies, procedures, safety protocols, Fair Housing and other applicable laws and regulations.
Supervises the work activities of the leasing staff.
Maintains open communication between the service and leasing staff to ensure successful teamwork.
Ensure the property is maintained by inspecting the grounds daily.
Prepares service requests after inspecting the buildings and vacant units, when necessary.
Observes the property and buildings and makes recommendations for capital improvements upon request.
Inspects all vacant units prior to resident move in.
Coordinates and participates in eviction processes.
Maintains a professional, approachable demeanor towards residents.
Coordinates the monthly work schedule for the leasing staff.
Completes renewals on a bi-monthly basis and when necessary.
Accompanies service staff for end of month move out inspections.
Advertising vacancies through approved marketing activities.
Communicates pertinent information to residents as necessary.
Completes move out paperwork, including assessing unit for damages.
Works with local police and courtesy patrol to give and receive information regarding security and crime, when necessary.
Attentive and cautious with regards to the overall security of the property, keeping all keys in your possession, not to be handed to unauthorized person, including contractors.
Monitor the key box and key logs daily to ensure all keys are accounted for at the end of each day.
Manages delinquency through persistent resident contact and communication with the Regional Property Manager.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to motivate others.
Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi Systems
Two years of related experience preferred.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.
Always presents a neat and professional appearance.
Valid Driver’s License, personal vehicle, good driving records and insurance required.
